Sweet corn and such

Well it has been too long since I wrote. This year is just flying by. I can't believe it is May. Lydia lost her first tooth last month and a second one is loose. Her ability to read keeps increasing and it is fun to watch her be able to figure out new words. Noah keeps getting bigger and now sleeps on the top of the bunk bed. Micah broke his arm last month but it is all better now. He graduated out of his crib and now sleeps in a bed(the bottom of the bunk) and is currently potty training. Luke will be 10 months old next week and is slowly growing bigger. He is popping out teeth like crazy! Matt finished his intermediate algebra class and received an A. I am proud of him. It is sweet corn season in Florida so I started buying corn and the kids just love it, from husking it to eating it. The first night we had it I had to break the last cob into 3 pieces!

Peter and the Wolf Ballet with Noah

Well it was Noah's turn to go to the ballet with mommy. The Orlando Ballet was performing Peter and the Wolf and that is one of Noah's favorite stories. Noah really enjoyed it and afterwords we went to Steak and Shake and had lunch. It was a fun date.

Our new family tent

Matt just can't wait to start taking the family on camping trips. He sold his boat trailer and bought a tent last week. He put it up this saturday in our backyard to see how it looked and so that in case the first time we go camping and it is pouring down rain we will know how to put it together quickly! Lydia told a friend last night that it was as big as our house. Of course it is not that big but it will sleep all of us in it. The kids thought it was neat. We took it back down after they played in it for awhile so it is not still up in our backyard!

Mountain biking in Boyette

Matt loves biking, both mountain biking and road biking. Recently he started riding his bike to work(initially it scared me) about 2-3 times a week. He loves it and it is a great way for him to get excercise. Two week-ends ago he went mountain biking in Boyette(near Tampa) with a friend from church(Rodney). They had a great time. They rode a new trail that had just opened and Matt went down a really steep hill(yes we do have some here in Florida). Some day Matt hopes to have the whole family mountain biking.

Noah is 4 years old!

Last Wednesday Noah turned 4 years old. We celebrated his birthday last tuesday. We had a nice party with my mom (mommom), Matt's parents(mum and grandpa), Aunt Laura, and Aunt Emily. Matt grilled out burgers that were tasty and then Noah got to open his gifts. He was so excited about everything he got but his favorites were the spiderman rollerskates, the forklift, and Peter and the Wolf sound track. Matt of course got Noah machine legos. Mommom made the very cute birthday cake. Noah looks so big in the pictures. He doesn't look like a baby anymore.

Legos

Great Grandma Lichtenwalner got Noah and Micah their first legos for christmas. She mailed the gifts to us yesterday and today the kids open their gifts. It is nice to have the presents spread out over time. Well as soon as daddy got home he was on the floor playing legos. Then for another hour after dinner. Lydia really enjoys them and can make her own creations. Matt already is saying we need more legos. (Just like we need more train tracks all the time). It was fun to see daddy and the 2 older ones playing on the floor most of the night. Oh and to anyone who has tried to leave comments, I have changed the settings so that anyone can leave comments now, sorry about that. I am still learning how to use Blogger.

Luke is on the move!

Luke learned to crawl and sit up a week ago. He is now pulling himself up once and awhile but does not quite have the balance. It is so cute to see him moving around. It is hard to believe that he is doing all of this already. Enjoy the video of him crawling.
